Introduction to Social Media

A dynamic introductory workshop designed to explore how social media principles can be applied to brands, businesses and organisations. Suitable for those with little or no knowledge of digital and social media, this introductory module will frame social media in the context of the wider digital landscape. We will then explore the key social media concepts in depth including relevant case studies. The afternoon will be spent putting what we have learnt into practice through individual and group exercises. You will be given the opportunity to practice using a variety of social media planning and insight tools which can then be used when implementing social media plans back in the office.

This workshop will be led by Kate Cooper, formerly Head of Social Media at the Cabinet Office, now Director of Social at ROI Digital Group and consultant to the UK Government.
